Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers are reportedly interested in Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe.
Alfredo Morelos of Rangers
Morelos is one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership, and clubs could make a move for the Rangers star this summer.
Rangers manager Gerrard has said that he wants the Colombia international striker to stay at Ibrox beyond the summer, but the Liverpool legend has suggested that if any club want to sign him, then they have to come for early in the window.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun about Morelos: “It won’t happen late. A million per cent, it won’t happen late, that’s for sure.
“So if someone wants to spend a lot of money on a centre forward and they want to take my centre forward, they’d have to come early. They’d have to because it won’t happen late.
“If he did end up going, he would be impossible to replace with only days or weeks remaining in the window.
“So we don’t want him to go. We don’t want to sell him. But you know and I know that every player has a price.”

Bad news for Leeds United
According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers manager Gerrard has identified Leeds striker Kemar Roofe as a replacement for Morelos if the Colombian leaves.
It has been reported that the 26-year-old former Oxford United man is available for £5 million.
Roofe, who can also operate as a winger, is a very good player who is a key figure at the Championship club in England, and losing him this summer will be a blow to Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s chances of finishing in the automatic promotion spots.
