According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers have sold almost 46,000 season tickets for the upcoming 2019-20 campaign.
It is a club record, according to the report, and Rangers manager Gerrard is not surprised.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun: “It’s no surprise to me that we’ve sold a record number of season tickets, because I have been among the fans on numerous occasions before I took the job. I knew the passion and the desire.
“That is a massive part of why I love Rangers. To break records like that, I think it is a compliment to the players and the staff for the job they have done over the last 12 months.”

Upbeat mood
Rangers finished second in the Scottish Premiership table last season, as Celtic clinched the league title yet again – their eighth in a row.
The Gers, though, did show encouraging signs of progression under Gerrard, and the Ibrox faithful will hope that it continues this season as well.
Celtic will still be the favourites next season, but Rangers will know that with Gerrard in charge and with some of the players they have got, they can at least give the Hoops a run for their money in 2019-20.
Rangers fans will also hope that the team book their place in the group stage of the Europa League next season.
