Rangers manager Gerrard has spoken highly of the 30-year-old Canada international midfielder, and has urged him to score more goals between now and the end of the season.
Gerrard told Rangers’ official website: “Scott has played this role for Burnley on many occasions, and he is someone who can play deeper as and eight and can make the play from deep and arrive with lung-bursting runs, or you can trust him to play higher up the pitch and get around your nine and he has the quality to either assist goals or score goals.
“I think that is double-figures for Scott now, and he needs to go and try to get a few more from now until the end of the season.”

Arfield joined Rangers in the summer of 2018 after leaving Burnley at the end of las season.
The midfielder has made 24 starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, scoring 10 goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
