Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have been linked with possibly signing Steven Gerrard’s former teammate, Peter Crouch.

There have been tentative suggestions that Rangers want to sign the experienced English international striker in recent times.
And Gerrard has confirmed that Gerrard is indeed due to visit Ibrox soon, but only for an interview rather than to sign a contract.
“There is truth in the rumour, but not the rumour you want to write about,” Gerrard said.
“Peter is coming to Rangers – to interview me for his new chat show.”
If Rangers had signed Crouch he could have been reunited with familiar strike partner Jermaine Defoe, but it always seemed unlikely that the target-man would sign up at Ibrox.

Rangers already have a strong collection of striking options, and it may not be their priority to strengthen up-front over the rest of the summer.
Rangers got off to a winning start in their competitive games last night, as they won 4-0 against St. Joseph’s from Gibraltar in the Europa League.
Rangers scored all four goals in the second half, with Ryan Jack, Sheyi Ojo, Connor Goldson and Alfredo Morelos all getting on the scoresheet.
