Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard wants Allan McGregor and Ryan Jack to stay at Ibrox.

McGregor returned to Rangers in the summer of 2018 for his second spell at Ibrox, and the 37-year-old Scotsman has been superb for the Gers.
Jack joined the Ibrox club in the summer of 2017, and the Scotland international defensive midfielder has been brilliant for the Glasgow giants despite his injury problems.
Rangers manager Gerrard has made it clear that he wants the two players at the club for a long time.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun: “Allan’s situation is pretty self-explanatory. If he plays a certain amount of games another year’s contract kicks in.
“He’s in a good place, he’s in good form and we expect him to be here next year. That’s never been in doubt.”
The Liverpool legend added: “In terms of Ryan Jack, a new deal is imminent.”

Back in action
Meanwhile, Rangers will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Heart of Midlothian away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers were at the top of the league table before this weekend’s round of matches, but Celtic’s win on Saturday afternoon means that the Ibrox outfit have now slipped to second in the standings, a point behind Neil Lennon’s side.
