Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard comments on Celtic’s decision to replace Brendan Rodgers with Neil Lennon.

Earlier this week, Brendan Rodgers left his managerial role at Celtic and took the job at Leicester City in the Premier League.
Lennon, who was in charge of the Hoops from 2010 until 2014, was subsequently appointed as the Celtic manager until the end of the season.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has suggested that it was a sensible decision from the Hoops to bring back Lennon.
Gerrard told The Glasgow Evening Times: “I think it is a sensible appointment in terms of where Celtic are at, if you want my opinion on it.
“He obviously knows the club very well, he has won there before. So I am sure they are pleased that he was available to walk straight in and I am sure they are hoping for a seamless transition.”

Good appointment for Celtic
Lennon was a huge success at Celtic, both as a player and as a manager, and one suspects that the Celtic Park faithful are delighted that he has been appointed until the end of the season.
It was a major decision from Celtic to appoint Lennon as their manager, especially with the Hoops on the verge of completing a domestic treble for the third season in a row.
The Hoops have won the Scottish League Cup this season, and are aiming to clinch the Scottish Premiership title and the Scottish Cup yet again.
