Glasgow Rangers defender James Tavernier failed to score from the penalty spot for the Ibrox club today.

Tavernier featured for Rangers in their Scottish Cup fifth-round tie against Kilmarnock away from home at Rugby Park on Saturday evening.
The 27-year-old former Newcastle United right-back started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the match ended in a goalless draw.
The defender could have guided Rangers to a win had he not failed to convert a penalty, with Killie goalkeeper Dan Bachmann turning it away.
Last weekend, Tavernier scored twice from the penalty spot against St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership and failed to convert one.
Rangers manager Gerrard was not critical of the right-back failing to score against Kilmarnock, and believes that he was outstanding.
Gerrard told Rangers’ official Twitter page about Tavernier: “He steps up and we trust him to continue taking the penalties.”
“I thought his performance was outstanding again,” added Gerrard.
