Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told the Daily Record that he has held ‘interesting’ meetings with the club’s board.
The Gers finished off an unbeaten league season on Saturday afternoon by hammering Aberdeen 4-0 at Ibrox.
A Joe Lewis own goal set Rangers on their way before Kemar Roofe bagged a brace and Jermain Defoe rounded off the scoring late on.
With just 12 points dropped all season and only 13 goals conceded, Rangers have dominated this season and finished a staggering 25 points clear of Celtic.
Rangers will know that one title isn’t enough and they must now go and do it again next season, which may take some strong recruiting over the summer.
Midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh and attacker Fashion Sakala have already signed pre-contract agreements with the Gers, and will be looking to make big impacts next season.
Other targets will be in mind though, and Gerrard has admitted that there have been ‘interesting’ meetings with the Rangers board.

Gerrard is subsequently very confident that the Gers hierarchy will back him financially and in terms of their confidence moving forward.
Gerrard also laid down a warning that no key players will be leaving Ibrox easily this summer, with real hope that the Gers will be even stronger next term.
“I’ve had some really interesting meetings with the board and they’re with me. They’ll back me. We’ll go again and try to build on this success,” said Gerrard. “Can I keep these players together? Well, let me flip the question for you. If anyone wants to take them away from me, they best bring an army with them,” he added.
