Rangers were beaten 2-0 by Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told Rangers TV that he was baffled by his players deciding to step up and play offside for Odsonne Edouard’s goal.
The Gers took on Celtic on Sunday afternoon in the first Old Firm derby of the season, and were hoping to lay down a marker in the title race.
Rangers have been backed to really challenge Celtic for the title this season, but they fell flat on the big stage yesterday.
Edouard raced through to score from Mikey Johnston’s through ball in the first half, and whilst Rangers looked to get back into the game, they were caught on the break with Jonny Hayes scoring late on.
Celtic left Ibrox with a 2-0 win, and Rangers’ misery was compounded by the straight red card given to Jordan Jones in injury time.
What really annoyed Gerrard though is how Rangers allowed the opening goal to unfold, stemming from Connor Goldson giving the ball away to Johnston.

He came forward and, whilst Nikola Katic stepped up to try and play offside, Edouard was able to get in behind and score, giving Celtic the lead.
Gerrard has admitted that he didn’t think the reaction to giving the ball away was good enough, because Rangers ‘never’ try and play offside when there’s no pressure on the ball, so he’s baffled as to why an offside trap was attempted in this instance.
“For some reason, we’ve made a mistake, and even our reaction to the mistake wasn’t good enough,” said Gerrard. “We’ve tried to play offside, and when there’s no pressure on the ball, we never do that,” he added.
