Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment, and so are the Ibrox club’s bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic.
Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 29 points from 13 matches, just two points clear of second-placed Rangers.
Rangers and Celtic will face each other in the Old Firm derby at Ibrox on December 29.
The Scottish Premiership game at Ibrox after Christmas is not going to decide the league title, but the result is certainly going to be important, especially psychologically.
Celtic will be allocated 800 tickets for the match, but the Hoops’ executive Peter Lawwell has suggested that the club may not take them if the safety of the fans cannot be guaranteed, as quoted in The Scottish Sun.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard and Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers have given their respective takes on the prospect of there being no fans of the Hoops at Ibrox, and the two men seem to have different views.

While Liverpool legend Gerrard does not think that it will take away anything from the Old Firm derby, Rodgers has suggested that it will affect the game.
Gerrard told STV: “I don’t think it would affect the fixture, there will still be an incredible atmosphere at Ibrox.”
Rodgers told The Scottish Sun: “It’s something the club will look at. There has been something taken away from the games.
“I think over the course of the games, home and away, they have been great spectacles, partly because of the impact of the away support. That’s now limited.”
