Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are said to be keen on Millwall defender Jake Cooper.

Steven Gerrard has addressed rumours linking Glasgow Rangers with Jake Cooper in the Scotsman.
However, the Light Blues boss was coy on the rumours, merely insisting that he does need a centre-back this summer.

He said: “I’ve nothing to say on Jake Cooper or any other player who belongs to another club. I won’t add to speculation at all. But I need another centre back.”
Rangers have already brought in two centre-backs this summer, with Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic arriving at Ibrox.
However, Rangers were particularly poor at the back last campaign, and Gerrard seemingly wants to strengthen his options even further.

Cooper’s performances in the Championship with Millwall have caught the eye, and he could add power to Rangers’ defence.
Rangers kick their competitive season off later today, when they take on Shkupi in the Europa League.
