Rangers lost 2-1 away at Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has told The Herald that Jordan Jones scoring the winner for Kilmarnock against the Gers added to the pain of defeat.
The Gers played their first league game of 2019 on Wednesday evening, travelling to Rugby Park to take on Kilmarnock.
Having beaten Celtic 1-0 last time out and enjoyed a strong January, Rangers fans were hugely excited to see what Gerrard’s men could conjure up.
It all started pretty well for Rangers, as Jermain Defoe marked his league debut for the club with the opening goal of the game, but that’s about as good as it got.
Joe Worrall was caught in possession, allowing Eamonn Brophy to go through and score for Kilmarnock, before the most obvious goal of recent memory was scored.
Kilmarnock winger Jones scored the winner, just weeks after signing a pre-contract agreement to sign for Rangers on a free transfer this summer.

The 24-year-old proved that he will still turn in performances for Kilmarnock despite committing his future elsewhere, and showed what Rangers will be blessed with come next season.
After the game, Rangers boss Gerrard was unsurprisingly asked about Jones scoring the winner, and suggested that it really added to the pain, but there is nothing he can do about it.
“That’s football, isn’t it? I’ve been around the game long enough and sometimes that happens to you,” said Gerrard. “That adds to the pain, but what can you do?” he added.
