According to Sky Sports, Glasgow Rangers are interested in signing Southampton’s Steven Davis.

Steven Gerrard has reportedly made Davis one of his top targets at Rangers, and if he can bring the central midfielder to Ibrox, then he could be his best addition yet.

Rangers have been highly active in the transfer window so far, with a whole host of new additions coming in.

But Davis would have the potential to be the highest quality player that Rangers have brought to Ibrox this summer.

Davis may be 33, but his performances at Southampton have still been very impressive.

The all-action midfielder has bundles of energy, and his technical ability makes him a standout option for Rangers.

The Ibrox crowd would need no reminder of Davis’ quality, given that he made 200 appearances during his younger years.

And if Gerrard can bring Davis back to Ibrox then it would be a stunning addition to Rangers’ current squad.
