Steven Davis joined Rangers on loan from Southampton in the January transfer window, and the former Aston Villa midfielder has suggested on the club’s official Twitter page that he could stay at Ibrox next season as well.

Davis moved to Steven Gerrard’s Rangers on a six-month loan deal from Southampton in the Premier League in January.

According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, the 34-year-old Northern Ireland international is out of contract at Southampton in the summer of 2019.

The 34-year-old midfielder has suggested on Rangers’ official Twitter page that he could stay at Ibrox during the 2019-20 campaign.

Rangers stay

Davis has made six starts and four substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, according to WhoScored.

The midfielder – who earns £60,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – did not start strongly for Rangers when he returned to Ibrox in January for his second spell, but the midfielder has been playing well in recent weeks, and having him in the squad for the 2019-20 campaign will help Rangers.
