Rangers duo join Steven Gerrard’s squad.

Steven Davis clinched his move to Rangers on Sunday evening.
Davis joined on loan from Southampton, beginning his second stint at Ibrox.
He is the second player to swap England’s south coast for Glasgow, following Jermain Defoe’s loan move from Bournemouth to Rangers.
Davis is excited to play alongside Defoe, and believes the striker will be a big asset for the Gers.

The Northern Ireland international told Rangers’ official website: “Jermain’s record speaks for itself, it doesn’t need selling to anybody.
“He has scored goals wherever he has gone and anybody that I’ve know that has played with him have said what a good finisher he is.
“I think he is going to be a great addition to the squad and I’m sure he will bang in plenty of goals for the team.”
Defoe’s reputation will give him a fear factor in Scotland, with defences particularly wary of the threat he could pose.
This could help open up space for his Rangers’ teammates, and Steven Gerrard’s side have the talent to take advantage.
Rangers are level on points with Celtic, who have one game in hand.
