As announced on Rangers’ official website on Thursday night, King has joined Rangers on a season-long loan deal from Premier League outfit Leicester.
Davis, who signed a one-year contract with Rangers in the summer transfer window on a free after spending the second half of last season on loan from Southampton, has given his take on the 30-year-old midfielder.
The 34-year-old Northern Ireland international will be competing with the 30-year-old Wales international for a place in the Rangers midfield, and he is looking forward to the challenge.
Davis told The Glasgow Evening Times about King: “I don’t know him personally but I know he won the Premier League and he played for Leicester for a number of years.
“He will be a good addition and there will be more competition for places in that midfield areas where we are already strong. We are scoring goals but another goal threat can’t hurt.”

Good signing for Rangers?
King is a very good midfielder who can be an asset for Rangers, and he will also enhance the quality of the Gers’ midfield.
With Rangers aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title this season and also playing for a place in the group stage of the Europa League, he will make the team stronger and add depth to the squad.
