The PSV ace is being closely monitored by Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.
Steven Bergwijn in action
PSV Eindhoven youngster Steven Bergwijn is attracting attention from numerous Premier League clubs including Spurs and the Saints, according to Dutch media outlet Voetbal International.
The 20-year-old winger has impressed in the Eredivisie after breaking into the PSV first team last season, and his fine displays have not gone unnoticed, unfortunately for the Dutch outfit.
As Bergwijn continues to improve and develop it will surely only be a matter of time before he moves to one of the major European leagues, but which club would be the best option for him?
Whilst Tottenham are undoubtedly an exciting prospect for many of Europe’s elite young players, the PSV man might just be better served in moving to Southampton.

His chance of playing regular first-team football would be greatly improved at St Mary’s for two reasons.
Firstly, Mauricio Pellegrino’s squad is vastly inferior to Mauricio Pochettino’s, so it would surely be easier for the talented youngster to break into the first-team on the south coast.
Secondly, being a winger, the speedy 20-year-old would surely find it difficult to make his mark in north London, what with Pochettino’s preference to play without any natural wide-men.

The Argentine deploys two wing-backs in Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier, and unless he reverted to a more orthodox setup with two wingers, the Dutchman would surely find his playing time limited at Tottenham.
Southampton have a wonderful reputation for providing talented youngsters with the platform from which to showcase their ability, and the south coast could be just the place for Bergwijn to realise his true potential.
