Tottenham Hotspur winger Steven Bergwijn has expressed his admiration of Everton midfielder Dele Alli on Instagram following the former Spurs star’s performance against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Thursday evening.
Alli, who joined Everton from Premier League rivals Tottenham in the January transfer window, helped Frank Lampard’s side to a 3-2 comeback win against Palace in the Premier League last night.
The English midfielder came off the bench at half time and was involved in the first two goals for Everton.
Alli has been struggling for Everton since his move from Tottenham in January, but the 26-year-old showed last night what he is capable of.
Bergwijn played with Alli at Tottenham, and the Netherlands international winger is pleased to see his former Spurs teammate do well.
And Alli has responded to Bergwijn’s post, as you can see below.

Turnaround
We know that Dele Alli is a good midfielder, but the former Tottenham star has struggled at Everton.
Maybe he needed a performance like the one against Palace to really spur him on.
Everton fans will hope that next season they see the Dele Alli that was such a force to be reckoned with two or so years ago.
