Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be a fan of the PSV forward.

Steven Bergwijn now fits the mould of what Mauricio Pochettino is looking for at Tottenham Hotspur.

Football London have suggested that Pochettino wants to sign an attacker who can play up-front or out wide, rather than a number nine this summer.

Spurs feel that bringing in an out and out goalscorer would be a waste, as he is never likely to displace Harry Kane as first choice.

However, with a more versatile attacker in place, their chances of playing would be greatly increased – as they could offer an option on the wing too.

PSV attacker Bergwijn now sounds exactly like what Spurs are looking for.

Bergwijn has played right across the attack for PSV this season, and scored 14 goals in the Eredivise.

Sky Sports have suggested that Tottenham are keen on £35 million-rated Bergwijn, as they look to make additions.

And if Pochettino’s side do manage to force through a deal for the attacker then he could make a wonderful signing.
