St Johnstone defender Steven Anderson has told The Scottish Sun that he is worried that Rangers could recall Michael O’Halloran.

O’Halloran joined St Johnstone from Scottish Premiership rivals Rangers in the summer transfer window.

As reported by BBC Sport, the 26-year-old forward has moved to the Saints on loan until January.

The former Scotland Under-21 international has already been a massive success at Tommy Wright’s side and has been banging in the goals.

O’Halloran has scored four goals in three league games for St Johnstone, who have won all of their Scottish Premiership matches so far this season.

St Johnstone defender Anderson, 31, has suggested that Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha could recall the former Bolton Wanderers prospect.

“I don’t know why it didn’t work out for Michael at Rangers,” Anderson told The Scottish Sun. “Maybe Caixinha will be looking at him and thinking he should bring him back. You never know.”

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Rangers manager Caixinha put O’Halloran on a 6am training regime last season.

It is clear that the Portuguese coach does not rate the forward highly – or else why would he be sent out on loan? – and one can see the 26-year-old making his loan deal at St Johnstone permanent soon.
