Leeds United are sitting top of the Championship table after four matches.

Steve Sidwell has stated that Leeds United will earn promotion this season as he also claimed ‘there is no better place to go and play an away game’ than at Elland Road when it’s in full flow.
On Wednesday night, the Leeds fans were in full voice as Marcelo Bielsa’s side recorded a 1-0 win over Brentford, with Arsenal loanee, Eddie Nketiah coming off the bench and scoring the winner.
Leeds have one of, if not the best support outside of England’s top-flight, and whether they are in League One or in any other league, the Elland Road faithful have always been behind their team.
Speaking on The Debate on Sky Sports PL (21/08/2019 at 11:00 pm), former promotion winner, Sidwell had nothing but glowing praise for Leeds and their fans.
“Leeds, what a club,” Sidwell told the Debate. “Massive club. They deserve to be back in the Premier League. Elland Road, when that place is bouncing there is no better place to go and play an away game.

“I say massive club, they are huge. I’m talking in terms of fans and then they go and support. When they were in their bad times during these last few years, they still go.
“They’re on the up and they were so close last year. I can see them go over the edge this year. It’s early days. Don’t get me wrong, the Championship is a long, long slog. But they way Bielsa is, he has been a breath of fresh air. I love him. I think he’s great and I’ll think they’ll do it.”
There’s no doubt that Leeds will be up there challenging for promotion when the season is drawing to a close, it’ll just be a case of what frame of mind they will be in.
Last season, they shot themselves in the foot and missed out on the automatic places, but they will be hoping they have learnt from those mistakes, because if they have, then promotion will be around the corner.
