Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Steve Sidwell has backed Tottenham Hotspur to win the FC Cup ahead of their sixth-round tie against Swansea City.
Tottenham will take on Premier League rivals Swansea away from home at the Liberty Stadium in the sixth round of the FA Cup this afternoon.
Sidwell said on The Friday Football Social show on BBC Radio 5 live on Friday evening (9:01pm, March 16, 2018) when asked who will win the FA Cup this season: “I am going to go for Spurs.”
FA Cup win possible?
Tottenham are a much better team than Swansea, and if manager Mauricio Pochettino fields his strongest available team against the Swans this afternoon, then the North London outfit should be able to win against the Welsh club at the Liberty Stadium with relative ease.
However, it is not going to be easy for Spurs to win the FA Cup given the presence of Manchester United and Chelsea in the competition.
Both the Red Devils and the Blues will be determined to win the competition, and Spurs will find it extremely hard to clinch the FA Cup this season.
