Liverpool legend urged club to avoid Bayern man this summer.

Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum scored a terrific goal for the Netherlands on Saturday night.
In doing so he left Germany defender Jerome Boateng flat on his backside as he jinked into the penalty area.
It is not the only time the Bayern Munich man has been embarrassed in recent months, after a terrible World Cup.
Boateng was linked with a switch to the Premier League in the recent transfer window.

Former Reds defender Steve Nicol urged Liverpool to steer clear of the ex-Manchester City man.
Speaking to The Mirror: “I am not a huge fan.
“The last 12 months he has had injury problems and form problems, so right now no.”
Boateng, 30, faces a fight for his Germany place and his Bayern side are also struggling domestically by their usual high standards.
Liverpool did not sign any centre-backs in the summer, putting their faith in Joe Gomez.
That looks an astute decision so far, and Wijnaldum underlined this at the weekend.
