Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose has been linked with a move to the Red Devils for a while.

Steve Nicol has told ESPN that he believes Tottenham Hotspur star Danny Rose will leave for Manchester United in the summer.
The left-back has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford for some time and The Daily Mail claimed last month that United are “confident” of a £50 million deal.
The 27-year-old is Tottenham’s first-choice option at left-back again after wining his place back from Ben Davies following a 10-month absence through injury for most of 2017.

And Nicol suggests that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has enough full-backs in his squad to justify selling one – but only for the right amount.
He told ESPN: “This I can see happening. Tottenham have enough cover, with the likes of Aurier, Trippier and Davies.
“It’ll take Kyle Walker-type money of £50 million to get him, but I think Man United will pay that money and I think this will happen.”

You could argue that Spurs have already regressed since Walker joined Manchester City and Tottenham need a top-drawer replacement if Rose joins the Old Trafford side.
Davies is a decent enough left-back, but he is not on Rose’s level, in the same way Trippier is not on Walker’s level, so Pochettino needs to reinvest whatever money United pay for Rose.
