Mo Salah and Jordan Henderson both started as Premier League leaders Liverpool were held 1-1 at home by Leicester City at Anfield.

Liverpool legend Steve Nicol has taken aim at two members of Jurgen Klopp’s squad after their disappointing 1-1 draw at home against Leicester City on Wednesday night.
The Reds had a chance to move seven points clear after Manchester City’s second-half collapse away at Newcastle United 24 hours earlier but failed to build upon Sadio Mane’s opening goal three minutes into their clash with The Foxes at Anfield.
Leicester forced their way back into the game and snatched a point via a Harry Maguire flick while Liverpool never really looked like grabbing a winner in a strangely subdued second-half display.
And, speaking to ESPN, Nicol has slammed the performances of the oddly anonymous Mo Salah and skipper Jordan Henderson, who started in an unfamiliar right-back position.
“Salah was awful out there and I mean awful,” said Nicol, who won four first division titles at Anfield.
“Honestly he was the one who should have been substituted.
“(Henderson) was awful (too).”

Salah was certainly far from his best against Claude Puel’s well drilled side but Nicol’s scathing criticism of Henderson seems a little odd.
The England international was arguably one of Liverpool’s better players on the right hand side of defence, providing plenty of energy in the final third and whipping in a number of dangerous crosses from the wing.
