Liverpool have been linked with a plethora of high-profile names including the likes of Roma’s Alisson Becker and Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak.
Nicol, who made 370 appearances for the Reds, claimed that he believes his former side have already made a bid for Roma’s Brazilian stopper, when speaking exclusively to ESPN FC:

“This is about the price. I would love Alisson at Liverpool. As far as I understand, Liverpool have made a bid. I am going to say they have get him.”
According to a report from the Guardian, Roma are demanding €90 million (£79 million) for Alisson, and it is unclear whether Liverpool are prepared to stretch to that amount.
