Is the Everton man leaving for Juventus? Not according to Steve Nicol.
Steve Nicol has told ESPN that he feels there is “absolutely no chance” of Romelu Lukaku joining Juventus in January.
The 23-year-old has been in superb form for the Toffees so far this season, netting seven times in nine Premier League outings.
His talismanic form comes a few months after the Belgian hitman was heavily linked with a move away from Everton.

Juventus are the latest club credited with an interest and, according to Calciomercato, the Italian giants sent their people to watch him in Sunday’s 2-0 win over West Ham, where he scored one and set up another.
However, the Serie A champions spent some £75 million (according to The Sun) on bringing Gonzalo Higuain in from Napoli during the summer, and the Argentine has netted seven times in as many league games for the Bianconeri.
As a result, Nicol has emphatically dismissed the speculation linking Lukaku with a switch to the Turin-based outfit, noting that it is “just not happening”.

He told ESPN: “There’s absolutely no chance of Lukaku going to Juventus. I mean, why would Juventus want him? They spent £80 million on Higuain. This is just not happening and it’s not going to happen anytime soon. This is an absolute miss.”
He may not end up at Juventus, and he may not leave in January, but Everton fans must be preparing for a time without Lukaku and it must be in the near future.
The former Chelsea striker is developing into one of the world’s finest strikers and it appears to be a matter of time before he ends up at a huge club.
