Liverpool are reportedly interested in the Leicester City winger.

Steve Nicol has told ESPN he has heard that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp isn’t keen on signing Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez.
The Reds sold Philippe Coutinho for £142 million this week and losing such an influential player means that Klopp needs a replacement.
For a while it looked like the Leicester star was going to be that replacement and The Star reported that the Algeria schemer was due in Liverpool for a medical.

There has been very little in the way of positive activity since and the Liverpool legend says although he’d have him in a heartbeat, the German manager isn’t a fan of his.
He told ESPN: “I’d have him in a heartbeat, but I heard a story that Klopp wasn’t that keen on him, which is disappointing, but I think he’d be absolutely fantastic at Liverpool.
“I’m going to say this is a hit because I wish and I want it to happen so I’m going to say it’s a hit.”

One thing for certain is that Liverpool have to replace the Brazilian trickster.
The Anfield club are competing for the Champions League and FA Cup, and Klopp’s side also have a top-four battle with Spurs and Arsenal on their hands.
With all that in mind, you couldn’t forgive Klopp if he didn’t sign an adequate replacement for the Barcelona ace.
