Jordan Henderson got on the scoresheet for Liverpool over the weekend as Jurgen Klopp’s side secured yet another three points in the Premier League.

Steve McManaman thinks that Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson is ‘morphing into a different player’, as Jermaine Jenas called him ‘underrated’.
Henderson was a standout performer for his side over the weekend, as they recorded a much-needed three points in the Premier League.
Whilst Henderson has played a holding role for Liverpool and England before, he is now playing on the right-side of Fabinho and showcasing a lot more quality to his game.
Former Liverpool player McManaman and former Spurs man Jenas shared nothing but praise for the Liverpool captain, who has been thriving in the middle of the park for Jurgen Klopp.
“Jordan Henderson is in excellent for now,” said McManaman, as posed by Football Society. “He’s morphing into a different player, even though he is late in his career.
“Fabinho has taken his spot and now he’s playing on the right side of that front three and his energy levels on that right-hand side of the pitch, alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold, it’s a new string to his bow.
Jenas added: “I think he’s a really underrated player for Liverpool. I know he’s their captain, but a lot of work his does sometimes go unnoticed. He works his socks off. He is a genuine leader within the ranks. I think you can see from the games that he doesn’t play, that when he comes onto the pitch, things lift. You can tell he maintains standards within that dressing room.”

Henderson has not just played a role with the ball for Liverpool in recent seasons, but his leadership qualities have also stood out.
During the early years of Henderson’s career at Anfield, when Steven Gerrard was still there, the former Sunderland man found it tough to live up to expectations.
But since Klopp’s arrival, Henderson has gone from strength to strength, as he will be hoping to lift the Premier League title in May, along with the Champions League trophy they won in June.
