Eustace played for two years under the Queens Park Rangers manager at Derby County.

Steve McClaren has reunited with his former Derby County midfielder John Eustace at new club Queens Park Rangers.
The appointment of Eustace as the 57-year-old’s assistant manager was confirmed by QPR on Friday – a week after the two-time ex Derby manager arrived at Loftus Road.
The 38-year-old left Derby in 2015, coinciding with McClaren’s exit and subsequent move to Newcastle United, and went on to manage National League North side Kidderminster Harriers – whom he leaves for QPR.
Eustace was an unused substitute as McClaren’s Derby lost 1-0 against the R’s in the 2014 Championship play-off final.

The former England manager has also been linked with moves for two of Eustace’s former teammates, Chris Martin and Jamie Ward – something he refused to rule out when asked at his QPR unveiling earlier this week.
Martin and Ward – who now plays for Derby’s local rivals Nottingham Forest – ended this season on loan to Reading and Cardiff City respectively.
