Would Arsenal duo Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott be good signings for West Ham United?
According to The Mirror, West Ham are among a number of clubs who are interested in signing Giroud from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The London Evening Standard has claimed that the Gunners want £20 million as transfer fee in order to part company with the France international striker.
It has also been reported that the Hammers would be willing to pay that fee and pay the six-figure wages of the former Montpellier star.
Former West Ham midfielder Lomas, who is now 43 years of age, believes that Giroud would be a brilliant signing for Slaven Bilic’c side.
Lomas has also suggested that the Hammers should make a move for Giroud’s Arsenal teammate Theo Walcott, who is 28 years old and can operate as a forward or as a winger.

“Olivier Giroud would be a fantastic signing for West Ham,” Lomas told The London Evening Standard. “He’s very undervalued at Arsenal. His goalscoring rate for France and Arsenal is superb.
“He gets on with his job, he takes knocks. Dare I say it, he plays like a British centre forward, getting hold of the ball in the box and getting on the end of crosses. If we could entice him from Arsenal he’d be a super signing.”
“Walcott’s goal record from wide or up front is good,” added Lomas. “He’s got pace and he’s at a good age at 28.
“I don’t know him very well but I know him personally; he’s a very good lad. That’s very important, we need to bringing the right characters into the dressing room.”
Giroud knows the Premier League inside out, and over the past five years, the Frenchman has showed what he is capable of.
The France international striker would score a lot of goals for West Ham and could guide the Hammers into the top eight of the Premier League next season.
