Celtic and Southampton are reportedly among the clubs interested in Motherwell midfielder David Turnbull.
According to The Daily Record, Celtic are interested in signing Turnbull from Scottish Premiership rivals Motherwell in the summer transfer window.
Southampton, Bristol City, Burnley and Brighton and Hove Albion are also reported to want the 19-year-old midfielder.
Motherwell want at least £2.5 million as transfer fees up front and more than £500,000 in add-ons for the teenager, according to the report.
The Scotland Under-21 international has had a great season on a personal level with Motherwell, and he is, without doubt, one of the best and most promising young players in the Scottish Premiership.
According to BBC Sport, the 19-year-old midfielder scored 15 goals and provided five assists in the Scottish Premiership for Motherwell this season.
Motherwell finished eighth in the Scottish Premiership table this season with 51 points from 38 matches.
Motherwell’s Academy Director Steve Hammell has raved about the youngster, and has outlined just what makes Turnbull so special.
Hammell told The Sunday Post: “We’ve had him since he was eight years old and he’s pretty much been a stand-out since then.
“He has a great attitude to match his ability, which means you have a great player on your hands.
“He’s a laid-back character, who has confidence about him, but not arrogance. He is well balanced with his self-belief.”
