Peterborough United manager Steve Evans worked with Bailey Peacock-Farrell at Leeds United.

Peacock-Farrell established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper at Leeds in the final months of last season.
The 21-year-old goalkeeper’s performances between the posts for the Whites were hugely encouraging, and one should not be surprised if the Northern Ireland international retains his place in the starting lineup under new head coach Marcelo Bielsa next season.
Peterborough manager Evans was in charge of Leeds from October 2015 until the end of the 2015-16 season, and the 55-year-old has suggested that he helped Peacock-Farrell reach where he is now.
While speaking about Tyler Denton, having signed him on a season-long loan deal from Leeds in the summer transfer window, Evans told Peterborough’s official website: “We know Tyler very well from being in and around the first team squad at Leeds United.
“We elevated him and Bailey Peacock-Farrell, who is now doing well in the starting line-up, into the first team group and he did exceptionally well.”

Steve Evans’s contribution
Peacock-Farrell made his senior debut for Leeds when Evans was in charge of the West Yorkshire outfit.
The Northern Ireland international played against Queens Park Rangers back in April 2016, and Evans was pleased with his performance, as he subsequently told BBC Radio Leeds (click here to read more).
The youngster has progressed well since then, and Leeds have a future superstar on their hands.
