Leeds United are said to be keen on Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White.

Steve Evans’ past comments on Ben White should excite Leeds United about the potential of the centre-back.
White spent the back end of last season on loan at Peterborough United, and Evans was his manager for a time, before he was sacked.
The former Leeds boss is a big fan of White’s talents, and felt that Posh had pulled off quite a coup when they got the centre-back in January.
“I first became aware of Ben when he joined Newport County on-loan last season,” Evans said to Peterborough’s official website. “I watched him on a number of occasions and he was outstanding in the games that I saw.
“I have also taken the opportunity to watch a number of games he has played for Brighton under 23s and he was one of two or three that stood head and shoulders above and ready to further their career.”

White did well at Peterborough, even though his loan spell was disrupted by injury.
The Brighton youngster looked very comfortable in possession and would be a good fit for a Marcelo Bielsa side.
Although White may need to bulk up to deal with the physical challenge of the Championship, he could help to strengthen Leeds’ options at centre-back next term.
White would be in competition with Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson for a place in Leeds’ starting line-up.
