The Scottish manager loves the Leeds United fans it seems.

He may have left Leeds United in the summer, but Steve Evans has clearly retained an affinity for the club’s “unbelievable” supporters.
The Scottish manager spent some seven months as Leeds boss, but he was axed at the end of May after failing to earn a new contract under ruthless owner Massimo Cellino.

It could well be one of the harshest of all six managerial sackings by the Italian businessman, who told Evans – whose Whites side finished 13th in the Championship, 19 points clear of the drop zone – that his mandate was to keep United in the division.
The 53-year-old had only replaced Uwe Rosler in October and although he could justifiably harbour some animosity toward the club’s regime for his dismissal, Evans obviously still loves the fans.

“Leeds United is simply a great, iconic, football club”, he’s quoted as saying by Inside Futbol. “The supporters are unbelievable. They really make the club what it is and always will be.”
Evans’ last game was a 1-1 draw at Preston on the final day of the 2015-16, and the former Rotherham United boss received a huge ovation from the travelling fans at the end of the game.
He certainly had the support of the fanbase, but the adage ‘be careful what you wish for’ may apply to those who did want him gone.
Leeds, at the moment, sit 22nd in the Championship after winning just one of their six league outings under his successor Garry Monk.
