James Forrest is an important player for Celtic.
Scotland manager Steve Clarke has told The Telegraph that Celtic winger James Forrest has improved.
Clarke, who was appointed as the Scotland manager after his wonderful work at Kilmarnock, has raved about Forrest.
Clarke told The Telegraph: “James Forrest, in particular, has improved a lot on knowing when to be inside in the right area.
“That’s probably why he got his hat-trick against Israel and scored a few goals this year.”
Quality footballer
Forrest is one of the best wingers in the Scottish Premiership and was in brilliant form for Celtic this season.
According to BBC Sport, the 27-year-old winger scored 11 goals and provided nine assists in the Scottish Premiership this season.
The Scotland international has been at Celtic his entire professional club football career so far, and has won the Scottish league title eight times, the Scottish Cup four times and the Scottish League Cup on four occasions.
Forrest has been linked with moves away from Celtic, with The Scottish Sun claiming of Liverpool’s interest in the winger in January 2019 and The Times reporting that Leicester City want the £10 million-valued Scotsman in the summer transfer window.
The Celtic star has scored five goals in 28 appearances for the Scotland national football team.
