Snodgrass has impressed since his return to West Ham United from a loan spell last summer.

The Scotland manager, Steve Clarke, has denied that anything happened to provoke the West Ham United winger, Robert Snodgrass, into international retirement.
32-year-old Snodgrass called time on his Scotland career after October’s international break, with The Scottish Sun reporting that his decision arrived after he learned he would be dropped from Clarke’s eleven for the win against San Marino.
But the £10.8 million West Ham recruit later claimed it was instead motivated by a desire to “let the younger players take my place and hopefully push the squad forward”.
And speaking after naming his latest squad, for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Cyprus and Kazakhstan this month, Clarke told The Daily Record: “Nothing happened (with Snodgrass).
“He wanted to focus on his club and play more for West Ham. He decided the best way to do that would be to retire from Scotland and we wish him well.”

In total, Snodgrass played 28 times for his country and scored seven goals.
The Glaswegian, who previously starred for Livingston, Leeds United, Norwich City and Hull City, has struck twice in his eight West Ham appearances this season.
