The Wolverhampton Wanderers pair missed their side’s draw with Hull City on Tuesday.
Wolves legend Steve Bull shared just how important Ruben Neves and Matt Doherty are to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, when writing his regular column for the Express & Star.
The Wolves duo missed their side’s 2-2 draw with Hull City on Tuesday night due to suspension, after being sent off during their 2-1 away win at Middlesbrough on Good Friday.
The Black Country outfit are currently sitting pretty at the top of the Championship table, six points clear of second placed Cardiff City, although the Bluebirds have a game in hand.
Nuno’s men will head to Wales to take on Cardiff tomorrow night, in a game where the outcome will have huge ramifications on the destination of the Championship title.
Bull, who scored a club record 306 goals for Wolves, highlighted how important Neves and Doherty’s return to the Wolves side will be tomorrow night, when writing his regular column for the Express & Star:
“We’ll also have two of our key players back in Ruben Neves and Matt Doherty, who we looked a bit lost with on Tuesday night against Hull.”
Neves has arguably been the Championship’s best player this season, whilst Doherty has been somewhat of an unsung hero for the Black Country outfit, and Wolves fans will be delighted to see the duo back and available for selection for tomorrow’s clash with Cardiff.
