Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome Manchester City to Molineux on Saturday.
Wolves legend Steve Bull sat down for a Q&A session with the Express & Star, and warned his former club that they cannot give Manchester City too much respect on Saturday, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of taking anything from the game.
The Black Country outfit have endured a troublesome start to their 2018/19 campaign, taking just one point from their opening two games, and Nuno Espirito Santo’s men will have to quickly learn just how unforgiving the Premier League can be.
City, meanwhile, have been quite simply sensational during their opening two games, and are already sitting pretty at the top of the pile, having taken six points from their opening two games.
Wolves will have to be at their very best if they are to have any chance whatsoever against Pep Guardiola’s magnificent side on Saturday, and Bull urged his former side not to give their opponents too much respect, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star:
“We are two similar sides if you know what I mean. I know they have that bit of extra quality, with massive names in their side, but we can stand up to them. I think the only reason that we will get a good thumping is if we give them too much respect. If we take the game to them, I can see us getting something out of the game.”
Nuno Espirito Santo will obviously be looking for his side to win the game, but if he was offered a point now, he would surely take it.
