Wolverhampton Wanderers kept their six point lead at the top of the table in tact after their win against Middlesbrough.
The Black Country outfit earned an extremely hard-fought three points after beating Middlesbrough 2-1 at the Riverside Stadium, despite playing with just nine men for the final 25 minutes of the game.
Promotion back to the top flight seems to be just a matter of when and not if for Wolves, and they need just nine more points to guarantee a top two finish this season.
Bull, who scored a club record 306 goals for Wolves, warned his former side that they should not underestimate Hull City on Tuesday, when writing his regular column for the Express & Star:
“It’s Hull next up on Tuesday night and Nuno will be telling them that it’ll be just as hard as playing Middlesbrough. Hull are fighting for their lives and that’s always a dangerous game at this time of the season as they’ll have the desire for the points just as much as Wolves will.”
Nuno deserves huge credit for the job that he has done since being handed the reigns at Molineux in the summer, not only for the expansive brand of football that he has implemented, but also for the manner in which he has cultivated a real winning mentality amongst his players.
