Wolves legend Steve Bull spoke exclusively to the Express & Star for a Q&A session, and shared his opinion that his former club need to sign a new goalkeeper during the summer transfer window.

The Black Country outfit have been sensational this season, and currently sit at the top of the Championship table, five points clear of second placed Cardiff City, and perhaps more importantly, 13 clear of third placed Fulham.

Wolves have been so strong that it is hard to criticise any of Nuno Espirito Santo’s men this season, and if the Portuguese is to bring any new faces into Molineux this summer, they will have to be of the very utmost quality.

Bull, who scored 306 goals for Wolves, suggested that his former club need to sign a top-class goalkeeper in the summer, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star:

“You look at a backbone down a side. Definitely another goalkeeper, a Premier League goalkeeper. I know we’ve got some good up and coming lads, but they’re for the future, and we need someone like that.”

Nuno’s side play host to Hull City tonight, and can move eight points clear of Neil Warnock’s Cardiff side with a win against the struggling Tigers.

Promotion back to the top flight seems to be a matter of when and not if, and if they are in the Premier League next season, as is expected, Wolves fans can look forward to an extremely exciting summer transfer window.
