The Wolverhampton Wanderers ace has found the net four times in the last four games.

Wolves legend Steve Bull offered high words of praise for Benik Afobe, after the striker’s fine recent run of form, and shared how his prediction regarding the 25-year-old has come true, when writing his regular column for the Express & Star.
Afobe joined the Black Country outfit on loan from Bournemouth in January, and he has gone on to score four goals in nine appearances thus far, with seven of those coming from the substitutes bench.

Whether Nuno Espirito Santo will try to sign the 25-year-old on a permanent basis at the end of the season remains to be seen, but the Portuguese must be impressed with what he has seen recently.
Bull, who scored 306 goals for Wolves, raved about the quality of Afobe, when writing his regular column for the Express & Star, highlighting how the prediction he made regarding the striker is beginning to come true:

“Another man on international duty is Benik Afobe and I was delighted to see him score twice against Burton last weekend. I predicted that once he broke his drought he’d score a few and that’s proven to be the case with four in four games. Benik has stated he wants to stay with Wolves next season but at this point it’s hard to tell if he’ll end up joining. He’s certainly doing the right things, having taken a few games to adapt to Wolves’ style and now started finding the back of the net. With eight games to go he’s got to be targeting another five or six goals easily – if he does that he’s telling Nuno loud and clear that he’s worth a place in the team next season.”
Next up for Wolves is a trip to the Riverside to take on Middlesbrough on March 30th, before they play host to Hull City four days later, and a return of six points from those two matches could very well secure promotion back to the Premier League, should results elsewhere go their way.
And Afobe will surely have a huge role to play in their chances of doing just that.
