Wolverhampton Wanderers have been quite simply sensational so far this season.

Wolves legend Steve Bull took part in a light-hearted Q&A session for the Express & Star, and responded to a question asking him how many goals he thinks he would score if he played in the current Wolves side.

The Black Country outfit have been superb all season long, and currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, 12 points ahead of second placed Aston Villa.

Nuno Espirito Santo deserves great credit for not only the manner in which he has been able to attract top class talent to Molineux, but also for the way in which he has instilled a winning mentality into what was an arguably failing group on players.

Bull, who scored a club record 306 goals for Wolves, responded to a question asking him how many goals he thinks he would score for Nuno’s men, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“I think they need a natural goalscorer, the way the ball has been going in the box. If I was in the box at the moment, my highest scoring season was 52, and I think I wouldn’t be far off that. Trust me I wouldn’t. They have between 10 and 20 chances per game, so you know what I mean, it’s scary. I would score at least 35 or 40.”

Next up for Nuno’s men is a trip to Lancashire to take on Preston North-End on Saturday, and they will have to be more clinical in front of goal than they were against QPR at the weekend, if they are to have any chance of returning to the Black Country with anything to show for their efforts.
