The Wolverhampton Wanderers striker has struggled in front of goal recently.
Wolves legend Steve Bull spoke exclusively to the Express & Star, during a Q&A session, and shared some words of advice for Leo Bonatini, with the striker really struggling in front of goal at the moment.
The 23-year-old joined Wolves on loan from Al-Hilal in the summer, and began his spell at Molineux in scintillating form, but he has really fallen off the pace over the past couple of months.
Bonatini has not scored since December 4th, and with Benik Afobe now scoring goals, he might just find it hard to force his way back into the starting XI on a regular basis.
Bull, who scored 306 goals for the Black Country outfit, shared the words of advice that he would offer the Brazilian, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star:
“I’d love to take him for a session. Turn sharp, turn, sharp, hit. I’d say to him, ‘come here, turn, hit, turn, hit’, instead of turn and losing it. He seems to have lost a bit of zest in front of goal and sharpness. He’s just got to pick himself up.”
Strikers often thrive on confidence, and it seems that Bonatini only needs a goal to act as a spark that will light the fire for him.
With just nine games remaining this season, he will surely still have a big part to play for Wolves, and he could do a lot worse than listen to the great man’s advice.
