Wolves legend Steve Bull explained why he was never in fear of Nuno Espirito Santo leaving Molineux, after the Portuguese was linked with the vacant manager’s job at Everton, when writing his regular column for the Express & Star.
The 43-year-old has worked wonders during his time in charge of the Black Country outfit, with his side currently sitting comfortably at the top of the Championship table, two points clear of second placed Sheffield United.
What has been even more impressive, is the manner in which the former Porto and Valencia boss has managed to galvanise the Wolves squad, following their underwhelming campaign last term.
And Bull, who scored 306 goals for the Black Country club, highlighted how Nuno has the opportunity to achieve great things at Wolves, and that he was never worried by reports linking him with the Everton job, when writing his regular column for the Express & Star:
“At first glance Everton might appear a rather attractive proposition. They are, after all, an established Premier League club with a decent budget. But I genuinely feel, when you weigh everything up, there is a potentially even more attractive proposition here at Wolves. Fosun have made no secret of their desire to make the club one of the biggest and best in the land and Nuno wants to be part of that.”

Wolves now face a two-week lay-off, due to the international break, and the fortnight off has come at a great time for Nuno’s men, after having played five games during the course of a 14 day period.
