Wolves legend Steve Bull predicted that his former club will wrap up the Championship title with three games to spare, when writing his regular column for the Express & Star.

The Black Country outfit currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, six points clear of second placed Cardiff City, although they have played a game more than Neil Warnock’s men.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side experienced somewhat of a sticky patch in mid February, taking just five points from five games, but they bounced back impressively, winning back-to-back matches last week.

Bull, who scored 306 goals for Wolves, drew attention to his former side’s relatively easy run-in, when writing his regular column for the Express & Star, and claimed that they could wrap up the second tier title with three games to spare:

“Personally, I think Cardiff will slip up soon and we have the chance to go there and win next month. If all goes to plan we could have the title in the bag with three games to go. Our run-in is good on paper but Nuno won’t be looking at it like that – he repeats his ‘one game at a time’ mantra week after week and I think the fans have bought into that too.”

Next up for Wolves is a trip to Middlesbrough on March 30th, before they play host to Hull City four days later, and a return of six points from those games will set them up perfectly for their huge clash with Cardiff City on April 6th.
