It is hard to criticise Wolverhampton Wanderers for the manner in which they have performed so far this season.

Wolves legend Steve Bull spoke exclusively to the Express & Star, during a Q&A session, and highlighted one particular area where his former side have really been struggling recently.

The Black Country outfit currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, six points clear of second placed Cardiff City, and they appear to have put their poor run of form behind them, after recording two consecutive wins over this past week.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been superb from the very first game of the season, but that is not to say that they don’t have their weaknesses.

Bull, who scored a club record 306 goals for Wolves, highlighted his former side’s struggles when defending set-pieces as something that could prove to be costly to them, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star:

“The only thing that I can fault them for is defending free-kicks and set pieces. They are really struggling with that at the moment.”

Next up for Nuno’s men is a trip to Middlesbrough on March 31st, before they play host to Hull City four days later, and a return of six points from those games could very well secure them promotion back to the Premier League, if results elsewhere go their way.
