Wolverhampton Wanderers are currently in the midst of their first real blip of the season.
Wolves legend Steve Bull spoke exclusively to the Express & Star during a Q&A session, and shared what he would be telling the players if he were Nuno Espirito Santo, ahead of two vitally important home games against Reading and Burton Albion respectively.
The Black Country outfit’s lead at the top was cut to just three points after their heavy defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday, and there seems to a certain sense of panic that has crept into both the players and the fans.
Nuno’s side have taken just five points from their last five games, and they will be desperate to get their season back on track over the next four days.
Bull, who scored a club record 306 goals for Wolves, shared what he would be telling the players if he were in charge at Molineux, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“Nuno should say to them, do what you did against Leeds, go out there, role your sleeves up, give me 100 per cent, and get that pace back that we lost in the second half against Villa.”
A return of six points from the games against Reading and Burton will be a necessity for Wolves, and if the players apply themselves in the same manner that they did for the first 31 games of the campaign, they will be well capable of doing just that.
