Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce spoke to reporters today, ahead of his side’s Championship clash with Sheffield United tomorrow, and responded to questions asking him whether Yannick Bolasie is fit enough to feature against the Blades, as quoted by the club’s official YouTube channel.

The Villans signed the 29-year-old winger from Everton on a season-long loan earlier this week, and many fans and pundits alike are predicting that he will take England’s second tier by storm.

Bolasie will undoubtedly help bring more pace and directness to Aston Villa’s play in the final third, and the club’s fans will be desperate to see their new signing in action.

They might just have to wait a little longer, though,

Bruce addressed the media today, and shared how he expects the speedy winger to be ready for Villa’s game against Blackburn after the international break, as quoted by the club’s official YouTube account:

“We always had it in our mind that we want him ready for after the international break. He’s making huge strides out there. He’s a little bit off, a little tiny bit, but we’re quietly confident that he’ll be ready for Blackburn.”

Villa will be desperate for a win against the Blades tomorrow, but they will seemingly have to do it without the help of Bolasie.
