Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce spoke to reporters, ahead of his side’s clash with Reading at Villa Park today, and responded when asked whether new signing Anwar El Ghazi will feature against the Royals, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The Villans brought the 23-year-old winger to Villa Park on a season-long loan earlier this week, and may fans and pundits are predicting him to be a real hit at the west Midlands club.

El Ghazi is already vastly experienced despite his tender years, having made 143 combined appearances for Ajax and Lille, chalking up 29 goals and 20 assists in the process.

He can play anywhere along the front-line, and will surely bring a real level of pace and quality to Aston Villa’s attacking play.

Bruce spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference yesterday, and responded when asked whether the Dutchman will play a part against Reading at Villa Park today, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“He’s in contention, yes.”

El Ghazi is a real talent, and will surely have Villa fans on their feet this season, but whether today’s home clash with Reading will come too soon for the 23-year-old remains to be seen.
